We did it again, this time to Frenchman Mountain (commonly mistaken as Sunrise). Two words describe this hike.. STEEP as HELL!! This is another one that ive always wanted to do, not as much as the Black mountain one but it was still fun. Just a short drive through North Las Vegas, ehhk, and your at the trail head which looks like lots of people go up there to make a mess with some glass. But it soon gets ridiculously sleep and it appears the party people arnt a fan of heights. Then it just stays that way until you get to the top of the first saddle, then its down for a bit and then right back up. You’ll feel this on in your knees for sure. Just a couple of notes; The view is worth it, you get a full 360 of the ENTIRE Vegas/Hendo area which is pretty sick, but be careful on the way down, the gravel and rocks are loose and its easy to slip you will slip. Tons of cool geology on this hike though, its the same rocks as are in the Grand Canyon. This would be cool to do again right before the sunset, of course if you can figure out how to get a quad past the gate and use that because its like a 3 hour stair stepper session.
Ive been hiking with my friend for a while now out here in southern Nevada, there are various picture sets on my flickr here but ive decided to start filming them as well. These are all probably going to be vlog style but its pretty fun to film and edit and what not so enjoy.
Not sure why everyone gets so excited about the new year, just means the gym is going to be crowded as shit with people who dont know what theyre are doing and wont even be there come 3 weeks, also means that i will still be dating everything 20011 until june, and then it’ll still have two 0′s because for tens years i was used to two damn zeros!
But, i did make some Goals (not calling them resolutions), why not, figured that i would make some and actually follow through with them. I didnt make the same stupid resolutions that everyone else makes by default, like “im gonna go to the gym and get in shape” (i actually avoided the gym for the first week). except for one goal i made was a pretty common on it turns out, i didnt even know.. Its time to get more organized.. And i actually didnt decide to make it until last week when i was putting the Christmas stuff away and went HAM with the sharpie in the storage room. EVERYTHING got shifted, de-horded and labeled, and i couldnt stop, it trickled down into the cabinets underneith and eventually into the hall closet which for the past, uh well, ever since we’ve lived here actually, has been a dumb heap of junk.. Not anymore, de horded, organized labeled and theres actually shelf space left..
Next stop is my room, its actually started in parts, labeled some things, sorted some stuff out, but ive got these boxes of junk that i hold onto for some reason, those are going to dwindle, my next big thing is to get rid of emough stuff that i can get it into ONE box or less. Some of it is cool stuff like neat print ads or interesting chachkeys but theres also some junk that i just threw in there because i was lazy.. sort away
I also made two others but we shall see how those pan out..one is to learn to Play the Guitar, just got a sweet B.C. Rich Warlock for a good ass deal that ive been wanted for a while.. Also got RockSmith for the xBox for xmas, thanks chris and katie!! and the other is to Learn a few tricks on my BMX bike that i also just got, friend was selling it for a really good deal and i couldnt pass it up

Organize 2011 bills for tax shit, (this usually isnt a problem) BUT relocate the books
get rid of EVERYTHING from that damn top drawer. EVERYTHING!!
Chryslers new commercials give me chills.. They are SO awesome! Lets hope they’re back on track, so far sales were up 23% so thats good.. But the commercials! Who ever does them, bravo, seriously gives me chills watching them! Lets see Hon-duh or Yota do that..
we all know that Apple security is tighter than a tick’s ass so how could this have happened? ill tell you how. i think this whole thing was PLANNED by Apple. they sent this guy out with a ‘prototype’ (which ive heard are always locked down and what not) to lose on purpose. why? to get the hype started in a non traditional fashion. they knew that tech blogs would blow up with info and rumors and pictures and tech blog readers would spread it all. Viral Marketing at its best. what this does for Apple is they will be able to gauge what the consumer is wanting feature wise and they’re opinion about the design with out making it seem as if they requested it. so now Apple ‘sends’ a letter to gizmodo requesting the device back to make it seem like it some big bad thing happened and they are going to deal with it justly.
Good play Apple, but were not fooled.. I will be camping outside the store though come july when my AT&T contract is up and its time for a new iPhone!
i dont know why but this movie looks SOOO good.. the first trailer gave me goosebumps and so did this one.. we have to wait almost a year to see it.. December 17!!
