I was browsing around the internet, as one does, and landed on the VW page looking at the new CC and came across something that, at first, struck me as strange, and then after i thought about it, really drove me crazy. Below is what im on about. (click to enlarge)

Just take a look at it. Do you see what im talking about? If you cant tell let me point it out. Well its actually two things. First, its blurry (all of the others are clear and crisp). And second ,and most annoyingly is that its crooked. Now this may not sound like a big thing but, and i dont know its just my OCD kicking in or what, why is it crooked and blurry?!! VW is a pretty huge company, a German company no less that builds their cars with precision, and this is the picture they are going to use? Makes you wonder how much money was, or wasnt spent on marketing this car. Totally didnt expect this from VW, kia maybe but still, come on.
So am i going crazy or does this annoy any one else? And this is a message to VW, go out in the lot and snap a new damn picture!
Oh, and by the way, apart from the crazy crooked picture, the CC looks pretty impressive. The back end looks sorta like a CLS Merc and it has some other perks as well, but thats another show..

I was driving back from picking my friend up and decided to go “look at” the new 2008 Touaregs at the VW dealer. I ended up going to a rather interesting test drive.
As i approached the dealer i could see there were people ready and waiting to greet me to their dealer. I went to the Findlay VW dealer in the valley auto mall in Henderson. I originally just wanted to look at them so we went over an looked at the V6 lower end version, called the VR6. It had the 3.6 liter six-cylinder engine, 6 speed ‘tiptronic’ gear box, black leather seats, sat nav, back up camera, single zone A/C and some other features as standard. This version also didn’t have the air suspension but it did have the 4Xmotion all-wheel-drive system. See the VW site for more info.
First Impressions:
At first I really wasn’t impressed. According to the printout on the dash, the V6 supposedly pounds out 280 HP, which wasn’t hard to believe, but then the guy I was talking too said it weighed next to 6000lbs. That three TONS for an SUV that’s just barley the size of mine which weighs only two tons. He then demonstrated some of the features such as the navigation, which didn’t work because there was no DVD and the power lift gate and other things that were less interesting. He then started the engine, which sounded too much like diesel for my liking. Think 1987 Mercedes 300D, not “bad” but not good either. I kept asking how much power it “really” put out and he decided to take me for a little drive. Read more…

Last night i got the opportunity to “race” a Touareg. Let me just say, although it faired pretty well ill pulled away in the end. Speed and location are not important, however, i WAS surprised at how fast it was… So much so that i had to have a little look see on the interwebnets.

There are three different ones, well 4 if you count the TDI version, which is a diesel that doesn’t really have that mush BHP but from 1500 rpm has a ridiculous amount of torque. Id still opt for the V8 myself because i just cant not have that power, although the 6 isnt too bad, still gotta have more…

Totally dig that interior.. even though it IS a VW (which there is nothing wrong with, just the make me think of the beetle.. ugh) Outsides not so bad either, sorta looks like that Cayenne thing that Porsce makes (really ughh)

I might test drive one some day, if they will let me and ill follow up with a road test, i hate having to do that whole “well what is it going to take to get you in this car today..” routine buut.. That price still is a bit steep for me as of yet.. (assuming i would spend my -own- money on it.. haha)
